Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
