Sir Keir Starmer will push allies to provide Ukrainian forces with additional long-range missiles to target Russian targets during talks in London on the upcoming Friday.

Britain's leader is set to welcome President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside the so-called "alliance of supportive nations", consisting of over twenty of supporting nations who have pledged to grant the Ukrainian government security guarantees once a ceasefire is arranged.

Zelensky has been urging for several weeks for further long-range weapons from Western nations, a step that the Russian government has cautions would escalate the conflict.

The Ukrainian president is travelling from Belgium, where he met EU leaders on the previous day requesting economic assistance.

"The single figure participating in this conflict who declines to halt the fighting is President Putin," the Prime Minister remarked.

The Prime Minister will also announce that 100 additional anti-aircraft missiles will be delivered to Ukrainian forces earlier than planned, as outlined in a £1.6bn deal reached between the United Kingdom and Kyiv in spring.

Diplomatic Momentum

Zelensky comes off the back of two diplomatic wins recently: Donald Trump's decision to finally apply additional restrictions against Moscow, and the European Union consenting to finance Kyiv's budgetary shortfall.

The Prime Minister is seeking to maintain the progress by escalating the pressure on Russia to negotiate an end to the hostilities.

The Prime Minister will urge participants to increase the supply of advanced missile technology following an effective operation on a chemical plant in Bryansk, the Russian Federation, using UK-provided missile systems.

"Furthermore, his horrific assaults on small children in a nursery recently demonstrate that crystal clear," he continued.

A pair of children were among at least seven fatally wounded in a wave of enemy assaults on the country, which struck a preschool facility in the important metropolitan area Ukraine's second city.

Budgetary Negotiations

The Prime Minister will discuss with Western allies on methods to remove Russian oil and gas out of worldwide commerce.

They will also examine utilizing seized Moscow funds to offer Kyiv with financial loans, though the plan encountered insufficient agreement and legal hurdles at the EU conference on the previous day.

The EU stopped short of consenting an initiative to utilize approximately €140 billion in seized Russian resources to monetarily assist Kyiv's finances.
