An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
